Kodiac Training’s goal is to help all athletes, no matter what their ability, reach their personal best. Through scientifically proven training principles, we can train you smarter, not harder, and help you achieve your goals.

Dave Cieslowski started his athletic career as a hockey player in New England. Luckily for him and us, he stopped strapping on the skates and started nordic skiing once he got to college. Showing early success at skiing, St. Lawrence University gave Dave the opportunity to ski Division 1 and learn from some of the best coaches and athletes in the country. Because he learned to race so late in the game, Dave needed to be meticulous about his technique and training in order to make up ground on other skiers.

After graduation, Dave moved out west to Park City, Utah where he continued to ski at a national level and run the ski school at White Pine Touring. Looking for a change, Dave moved to Bend and skied for the XC Oregon Elite Development program. Regularly ranking in the top 120 skiers in the country, Dave had access to the best training practices and coaches available. Not only a ski racer, Dave has taken part in many multi-sport events. He has been an elite group top ten finisher of the Pole, Pedal, Paddle, as well as captaining a team in the North American Championship Raid adventure race.

Today, Dave is completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR. Dave’s experience includes functioning as the coordinator of the Exercise Physiology Lab at COCC in Bend, Oregon. The COCC lab is arguably the busiest lab in the country that tests general members of the community. Through his job, Dave had access to one of the best Physiologists in the country and all of the latest training techniques in the athletic world. He has coached at camps all over the west as well as at home here at Mt. Bachelor.

Dave coaches through the Rebound Sports Performance Lab as well. The SPL utilizes such techniques as Dartfish software for technique and bike fitting, and field lactate analysis to make sure that our athletes are training where they need to be. In the Portland area, Dave has been bike fitting through Impact Physical Therapy in Hillsboro with Dartfish software. Utilizing sound science and training principles, Dave is obsessed with maximizing anyone’s performance while having fun in the process.
